The Original SketchesThis Friday marked the 9th week of genius hour. This would mean I only have three week's left to finish the project. Although the amount of time I have to finish my project is getting slimmer and slimmer I am half way done with the second chapter. I have also decided to make Sketches to go on the first page of the chapter's. Challenges, Solutions, TakeawaysA challenge with writing would be finding different ways to word something to enhance the reader's experience. For example, In Chapter two I am describing a huge mall (based on the Hanes Mall in Winston Salem) I have to find different ways to describe the scenery. A solution to this could be to ask advice or read other books. The takeaways of this week would be to get a move on finishing the book because I only have 2 weeks left to finish the second the chapter. Read All About ItMy Past, Chapter two (rd): Chloe sat in the front seat. She was still cold but at least she was away from the wind. Cary cranked the car, put it in drive and was off to the mall.
"So, Chloe are you looking forward to school. You'll get to go to Fallbrook High with us" Cary said starting conversation. "I...I don't know." Chloe said hoping to avoid conversation. Going back to school with possibly the same kids that tormented her wasn't exactly something Chloe was looking forward to or wanted to talk about. "Ah, Don't worry about it. Anyone starts crap with you, you come to us." Said Randy from the back seat. "Randy! What did we say about the cursing!" Cary scolded. "Whatever dad!" Randy said in a sarcastic voice. Cary snatched a green stress ball from the cup holder and threw it at Randy who dodged it laughing.

Continuing the Second ChapterFriday marked the 7th hour of genius hour, by this time I should be writing into the second chapter. Fortunately I have written into the second chapter. It is a much more fun chapter to write than the first due to it has less tedious facts required so far and is moving on to more humorous situations. A good goal for this project would be to finish the rough draft of the first two chapters on or by the 10th week. This would give me two weeks or more to type the final copy and make changes if necessary.
Read All About ItMy Past: Chapter 2 (rd): As the four of them walked out the door the wind struck their faces. Drake, Randy, and Cary all winced and squinted their eyes, but after a few second they were back to normal. When Chloe stepped out the cold took her breath and made her shake. Chloe adjusted her toboggan of her ears it was as jet black as her hair and from a far made it look as though to cat ears had sprouted out the top of Chloe's head.
Halfway pointLast Wednesday was the 6th hour of Genius Hour which would mark the halfway point to the end of Genius Hour. At this point I should be half way done with the novel. While I still have a ways to go and are behind, I did hit a mile stone when I continued to work on the novel at home. I finished the rough draft of the first chapter! Although there are still some details that need to be added into the chapter, I can add them in when typing the final draft.
Read All About ItMy Past, chapter 2 (RD):" It was Saturday morning. Chloe woke up at 4:00 am, she was still on Florida time. Too awake to go back to sleep, Chloe opened the window next to her bed. She stuck her head out expecting to feel a luke warm morning breeze, but instead felt the an icy cold slap across her face as the wind swooshed through the window. Chloe quickly forced the window close, the weather made her teeth chatter. Now she was defiantly awake.
